On the back end of Honeybook, you can click on each client's Project to view any number of important details:

With the Client Portal, your client gets a limited view of some of these items as well - great for collaboration! We encourage our clients to communicate with us through the portal so we have a comprehensive history of our communications -
- which, by the way, is a vital necessity when you have a team assisting you in executing a project. (Think Project Managers, Virtual assistants, Social Media Managers, or other fulfillment partners.)
How to Use Honeybook's Client Portal
First, I recommend sending an overview of your Client Portal to every new client. You can include how they can access it and set expectations on what you'd like them to use it for. You can even set this up as an Email Automation that sends to every new client at the beginning of the project or your contract with them!
Honeybook Client Portal Features
Honeybook's Client Portal has a great array of features available on the client side. You can view the layout in my BTS Video, and here is an overview of the tabs available:
Activity Tab: History of all communications, proposals, meetings, and other transactional activities.
Details Tab: An overview of project specifics, including project type, start and end dates.
Files: Any SmartFiles you've sent the client appear here, as well as an UPLOAD button which fosters efficient collaboration.

Can clients upload files to Honeybook?
Yes, they sure can! Using the Upload button, they can share most any type of file with you.
The Pros? It's easy and secure to upload anything you need to complete your work for the client. It's also helpful for all team members with access to the project to also access these files.
One drawback: there isn't a great preview functionality, so if you want to view the files, you'll likely have to download them first. There is also a limit to the size of files that can be uploaded - but that's true of most uploads.
What does the Client Portal Login page look like?
Of course, since Honeybook was created with independent business owners in mind, they make it easy to customize and beautify your client portal page! You can think of it as a white label client portal experience.
Honeybook has even introduced a beta feature that allows you to use your company subdomain. This customization option allows you to infuse your company branding elements, including your logo, color scheme, and even change the title of the portal on the login page.
