How to create a Free Website that brings in Leads using Bitly & Honeybook

I've heard countless online coaches tell new service providers: You don't need a website right away.

I understood. In my 2nd business, I got stuck in the creation trap: the one where I created endless Instagram images, telling myself I was "working", and then was so frustrated and resentful when that work didn't produce any results. I imagined launching your website could be the same sort of trap.

So when I started this business, I vowed not to get stuck in that content creation trap again. I focused first on leveraging my warm market to book clients - and it worked! I was profitable in my first month.

I did get a website up and going a couple months in, but quickly realized why coaches tell you to wait: when you're early on in your business, you will likely tweak your services and packages a few times. If you have a website, guess what that means?

Yep: You have to edit the website with every tweak.

Plus, purchasing a subscription to a web hosting site can get expensive. Are there Free Website options? Yes, but again I refer back to the aforementioned editing and analysis paralysis problem. 😜

Website Hack #1: Design Honeybook's Contact Form to look like a webpage.

I love this one. Honeybook's Contact Forms enable you to add text and images, and the formatting options can make it look very similar to a website. Once you have your Honeybook Contact Form set up, you can post the link on your Social profiles and anywhere else you'd normally link to a website.

Website Hack #2: Utilize Bitly to Hack a "custom domain" & Create your free "Link in Bio" page

Once your form is complete, bring it over to bit.ly and customize the back half to make it look like a custom domain. And yes, it's free! You get 50 custom "back-halves" per month on the free version of bitly.

Hot tip: You can even create a QR code when you get your short link.

Now for the best part: You can create a Link-in-Bio page directly from bitly, and you guessed it - it's FREE.

Now, you can load in the link to your Honeybook contact form (aka your new website), a link to schedule a networking call with you, a link to a portfolio... anything else you'd like people to land on.
